Katniss’s adventures continue in this action packed sequel, Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. In this sequel, Katniss has arrived safely at home with her fellow victor, Peeta Mellark. However, after surviving the Hunger Games, they must now survive the Victors Tour and President Snow’s wrath. As Katniss and Peeta travel through the districts, tensions begin to rise and Katniss can feel a rebellion stirring. The only way to stop the rebellion is to convince everyone that she is madly in love with Peeta. Things aren’t as easy as they seem though, and President Snow has a surprise to throw Katniss’s way. 

This book, like the first book, has tons of action and rarely slows down. This book leaves you wanting more every time. Catching Fire is impossible to put down once you pick it up. Anyone who read The Hunger Games would definitely enjoy reading the sequel as well. This book is a dystopian novel that any young reader would enjoy, just make sure to read the The Hunger Games first.
