LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT

LIRARY NEWS              
The Friends' Silent Auction will run from November 11 to December 7. SCLS has installed access points equipment.  The library was closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. Hiring Committee met and reviewed 6 applications for Library Director on 11/21. They  interviewed 3 candidates early in December. Bibliovation update: Linkcat was unavailable Dec. 7-10. We will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday.

PROGRAMS (CONTINUED)            
Programs are running smoothly. Attendance has been steady. Programs for adults include Tuesday Euchre, Wednesday Knitters, Thursday Woodcarving and Cribbage. Programs for children include Monday middle school activities, Tuesday storytime and Thursday book club for elem. Outreach to St. Peter's and KidsFirst. Programs will end the week of Dec. 16.  Upcoming Events: Pioneer Place Book Delivery 12/10; Friends Bake Sale 12/12&13. Craft Night: Snowman 12/16; Santa& Mrs. Claus 12/20 from 3-5; Saturday Story Time 12/21 at 10:30 am;  Winter Reading Program 12/18/2019 to 1/31/2020.

CONTINUING EDUCATION/ MEETINGS        
Dave attended cataloging and Eva attended serials training for the new Bibliovation Migration. Poynette Library hosted the Columbia County Library Board Meeting on Nov. 15 in the morning and the Columbia County Directors Meeting that afternoon.
