LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
13-Dec-16

Library News
We would like to thank David Hutchinson for his donation of $300.00 to the Poynette Area Public Library. The money that he donated helped to start our new Endowment/ Foundation Fund and we are very grateful. The Library asked local businesses if they would be willing to donate gift cards or certificates for the Winter Reading Program and the response has been amazing! We are thankful for the community support. The No Name Volunteers from the Middle School created bookmarks and placed them into our books to brighten the day of our patrons. Steve Jackson finished the fix on the carpeting on Nov. 30 and we are happy with the results. The Friends had a successful Silent Auction bringing in over $1,700 in donations. The Friends of the Library will be having a Cookie and Candy Sale on Dec. 15 from 12 pm to 6 pm and Dec. 16 from 12 pm to 4 pm. Patrons will be encouraged to pick an ornament from our tree for any donations of $5 or more given in December to the Library. The new laptop, Director PC, and scanner were installed.
