LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020

LIBRARY NEWS
The Library's outdoor area was re-graded & paved in November.  Jodi worked with General Engineering on the American Library Assoc. (ALA) grant "Libraries Transforming Communities" in hopes to obtain some funding toward continued improvement of the Library's outdoor area.  On Nov. 20th, Gov. Evers issued Executive Order 95, declaring a public health emergency.  Therefore, beginning Nov. 30th, we changed our service model to offering Curbside Service and limited Business Services by appointment.  There were 47 Curbside pick-up appointments scheduled by patrons from 11/01 to 11/30.

PROGRAMS (CONTINUED)
Katy Hanousek continued the Story Windows program (in which the story changes every other week).  The Community Scavenger Hunt was a big hit with 14 local business partners and 33 patrons participating.  Katy also created a fun Thanksgiving Guessing Jar with 18 patrons participating.  Santa & Mrs. Claus will be riding on a PDFD fire truck through the Village of Poynette on Sat., Dec. 12th.  Children (up to age 12) are encouraged to contact the library for a free Christmas book in December, donated by the Friends of the Library.  Katy continued providing support to patrons by frequently updating and monitoring the library's website and FaceBook page.  She's working to create our Winter Reading Program through Beanstack (the software we used in Summer).  This community literacy program will run from Dec. 20th through Jan. 31st.
