Programs for story time, elementary and middle school have started up again beginning January 21, 2019. All 4 Design has completed a design for the back office area and Rebecca will be going over the design with us in February. The woman's bathroom is currently closed due to safety concerns as there was a recall on the toilet. Public works has turned off the water and requested the replacement part to be sent to the Library. The Poynette Library closed 6 days in January when the Poynette Schools closed due to winter storm warnings and frigid weather. The Library is partnering with the school for the 5th Grade History Night Project. |

CONTINUING EDUCATION/ MEETINGS |
Lindsey Ganz met with Mark Jocham of SCLS and Emily, director of Portage Public Library, to discuss and plan a local resource fair. We decided to hold the fair at Portage Public Library as they have the space available for the event. Lindsey attended the Columbia County Directors meeting in Cambria on January 11. Library staff had our quarterly meeting on January 12, 2019. Staff agreed to move one computer into the reading room that is an adult PC only to offer a quieter place for proctored exams and to have an adult PC available during the busy after school hours. |
