LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Tuesday, February 8, 2022

LIBRARY NEWS
Jodi Bailey began work on the 2021 Annual Report to be submitted to the Wisc. Dept. of Public Instruction later this month. Library staff has been enjoying increased patron in-house circulation, thanks primarily to in-person StoryTimes and "Movie/Popcorn & Hot Choc." bundles offered in January. Jodi received notification from the American Library Association that we were selected to receive a $10,000 Humanities grant in March, 2022. Thanks to Kelly Anderson and Joni DeYoung for their outstanding grant writing assistance! Staff will purchase more Launchpads & bundle them with other STEAM-focused educational resources for "Launchpad Cafe" programs scheduled to be held throughout our community.

2022 PROGRAMS
Katy Hanousek assisted patrons by frequently updating and monitoring the library's website and Facebook page.  Two volunteers from the Friends of the Poynette Library delivered books to support our Pioneer Place community outreach. Kelly Anderson hosted several Adult programs (listed below). There were five (5) curbside pick-up appointments in January. The Winter Reading Program ended Jan. 31st with 61 participants. There were 13 lucky prize basket winners! Thanks to the Friends of the Poynette Library, White Willow Photography and the Poynette/Arlington BP for their generous support of our Winter Reading Program!
