LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT

LIBRARY NEWS
There were 169 Curbside pick-up appointments scheduled by patrons from 12/01 to 12/31.  The Library transitioned to Curbside & limited business services for two weeks when the Poynette School District went to all virtual learning.  Library staff was happy to re-open to the public (Dec. 14) and we enjoyed celebrating "Eva Day" Dec. 15th.  The Library was closed on 12/24, 12/25 for Christmas & closed at 5:00 pm on 12/31 for New Year's Eve.  The Friends of the Poynette Library received a very generous donation and are using it to purchase a new custom bookcase for the children's library.

PROGRAMS (CONTINUED)
Santa & Mrs. Claus rode through the Village on Dec. 19 (date rescheduled due to weather conditions).  The Poynette Police and Fire Departments were crucial in making this event successful.  We are very thankful for their time and participation.  Storytime on the Go was suspended when we transitioned to curbside service, but started back up Dec. 28.  Katy Hanousek continued the Story Windows program and provided support to patrons by frequently updating and monitoring the library's website and FaceBook page.  We kicked off our Winter Reading Program which continues through Jan. 31st.  We created several local gift bags for the lucky prize winners!  As of Dec. 31st, 31 patrons registered to participate.
