LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
11-Jul-17

Library News
The Poynette Area Family Fun Fest was a success this summer. Gerry Heuer assisted with the kid/ pet parade. Lora B. volunteered her time at the festival to assist Ganz in helping the little ones to make watercolor art. Dylan W. is completing his Eagle Scout Project at the library. He is organizing craft materials and supplies and will be doing some filing. Pictures and testimonials from our library were sent to Portage to be used for a presentation to the Columbia County Library Board to inform them of what the libraries in our county are doing and their value. The presentation will take place on July 19th in Portage. Lora B. has volunteered to update the scrapbooks for the library and has done a beautiful job so far. Katy Hanousek has been 'bringing the library' to Arlington at the Community Center. Eighteen people attended this new outreach program in June. The Poynette School District and the Poynette Area Public Library are partnering again for the summer school reading program held at the library.
