LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
12-Jun-18

LIRARY NEWS
The Summer Library Program (SLP) has begun at the Poynette Area Public Library. Registration began on June 4th and we have 141 participants signed up at this time. Tom Castle performed during registration week and we had a high attendance of 125 people. The Poynette Press ran an article about our upcoming Summer Program on May 31. Library staff has begun a weeding project of the adult nonfiction and are currently working to replace both adult and teen nonfiction with a generous donation of $3,000 towards books to be used in 2018 from the Friends of the Library.  There were several generous donations this summer for our library or the SLP: Piggly Wiggly, Lapacek's orchard, Poynette BP & Arlington BP, Friends of the Library, Shaklee, Alliant Energy Foundation, Poynette Auto Body, LLC, Poynette Area Chamber of Commerce, SCLS Early Literacy Grant, Pflanz Mendrala Funeral Homes, Sweet Wisconsin Honey Farm and Provision Kinetics.
