LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT

LIBRARY NEWS
Jodi Bailey met with Jackson Flooring and the carpet tiles in the children's area were repaired on May 27th.  The bill came in substantially lower than the quote.  The library building remained closed to the public in May, but Curbside Service continued to be quite popular with our patrons.  There were 174 patron pick-up appointments scheduled from 05/01 to 05/30.  Jodi purchased supplies and Scott Bailey installed Plexiglas "sneeze shields" around the check-out desk.  Jodi began working on an LED lighting analysis with General Engineering and Focus on Energy.  SCLS Delivery has slowly started back up, so patrons are excited to be receiving holds from other libraries again.  Katy's Take/Make Kits continued to be offered as part of our Curbside Service throughout May.  Jodi created a Library Re-Opening Staff Schedule to be discussed with the Board.  (Disposable face masks were received, but gloves & extra cleaning supplies ordered over a month ago haven't all been received yet.)
