LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
8-May-18

LIRARY NEWS
Lindsey Ganz and Katy Hanousek met with the new Verizon Rep. to finalize our agreement for a new mobile hotspot. The equipment has arrived and is in working order. We are looking forward to having this equipment to assist us in providing outreach services to the community. Darcy Miller and her students from the Poynette High School helped to prepare a delicious meal for our volunteer luncheon. We celebrated National Library Week with fines forgiveness, giveaways, everything's a quarter book sale, meet your administrator- Martin Shanks and cookies. The library closed all day on Monday, April 16 and early on Wednesday, April 18 due to inclement weather.

CONTINUING EDUCATION/ MEETINGS
Lindsey Ganz attended the delivery meeting on April 12 by phone. The friends rescheduled their April meeting due to the snow and met on April 24th instead. Lindsey presented ideas to the friends on how to organize the group, become more efficient and recruit volunteers based on information learned from a webinar. The Department Head meeting was held on April 24th. Lindsey has been communicating with a committee member, Linda Brodeur, of the Poynette Area Family Fun Fest to discuss library participation.
