LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT

LIRARY NEWS              
Cabling for WiFi access points was completed by Warner Integrated Solutions. SCLS will be contacting us to place access points equipment.  Survey Week was completed Oct. 7-12. The director's postion has been posted by the Library Board's Hiring Committee (deadline-Nov 15.) Public Works changed the furnace filters.  Heat tapes were installed for the new sump pump drainage system. We received a $500 grant from Am. Soc. Radiologic Technologists-books and other items are on display Nov. 3-9. The library will be closed Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The Friends' Silent Auction will run from November 11 to December 7.

PROGRAMS (CONTINUED)            
The Go Big Read event on Oct. 23 was well-moderated by a UW ISchool student. The Fall Colors contest had 65 attendees. Friends volunteers went to Pioneer Place for the monthly book delivery. Saturday Storytime led by Brooke on Oct. 19.  Trinkets and Treats on Halloween was popular. Craft Night 10/7 was led by Brooke. Lou Roach led 17 people for Poetry Readings from her new book.  Upcoming Events: Pioneer Place Book Delivery: Nov. 19; Saturday Story Time on 11/16 at 10:30 am; Craft Night: Hedgehog Nov 18 at 6pm.

CONTINUING EDUCATION/ MEETINGS        
Jeanne Mutchler went to the Leeds Town Board Meeting. Dave proctored exam for patron on October 12.  Dave, Gerry and Katy attended training in circulation and cataloging for the SLCS Bibliovation.  Eva attended the Friends monthly meeting on November 5. Katy attended the Summer Library Program meeting on Thursday, November 7.  Katy attended the 4K Parents Night hosted by the Poynette Library for the School District of Poynette on November 7 at 6:00pm.
