LIRARY NEWS              
Poynette Library raised $94.47 towards the pumpkin fundraiser for the South Central Library System Foundation. Lindsey Ganz and Vicki Teal Lovely of SCLS submitted  the application for the TEACH Infrastructure grant for network equipment. Lindsey Ganz is working with Gordon Flesch to look at our copy and scanning needs and to discuss quotes. The Friends of the Library are working on the Silent Auction Fundraiser to be held November 13 through December 8 and planning their December Bake Sale.

Lindsey met with a new elementary teacher to discuss library offerings and a new teacher library card on October 26. Jessie Garcia drew a crowd of 32 people to hear her amazing life story as a sports journalist and to view videos of her work with the Packers.   Upcoming Events:  11/27 Adult Craft - Sharpie Dyed Tile Coasters; 12/21 Santa and Mrs. Claus at the library from 1:30 to 3:30; 12/27 Family Read & Movie - The Boxtrolls.

CONTINUING EDUCATION/ MEETINGS        
Lindsey attended the Friends of the Library meeting in October. Lindsey attended the Lowville Township meeting on October 11 to share information about the library. Lindsey Ganz attended the delivery meeting at SCLS and there was discussion of delivery committee members going on a ride along with delivery drivers. Katy Hanousek attended the all day Youth Programming workshop and discussed collection policies and shared programming ideas. Lindsey Ganz met with a member of the Friends group to show how to use Canva, a free tool for creating promotional materials that is easy and has a professional look. Lindsey attended WLA held in LaCrosse and attended sessions on Facebook Book Discussions, to fine or not to fine, From Vinyl to Video Games: Expanding Library Collections, and Elder STEM.  Lindsey attended the ILS Bibliovation Demos (ILS-Integrated Library System is software that allows libraries to circulate items to patrons and track items owned through acquisitions, cataloging and serials).
