LIBRARY NEWS
Poynette Area Public Library celebrated its 80th Anniversary on Oct. 15. The Friends dedicated the pergola with a ribbon cutting ceremony honoring Ellen Byrns, in appreciation of her generous memorial donation. Jason Koopmans, Library Board President, and Craig Malin, Village Administrator, both presented speeches in support of our wonderful little library. Belco donated an updated "Library" sign near the rear entrance. Thanks to Tony Belay (Belco) and Scott Gorman (Public Works Director) for your kind assistance.

2021 PROGRAMS
We enjoyed great patron participation in our fun October programs and outreach opportunities listed in the table below. Two volunteers from the Friends of the Poynette Library delivered books to support our Pioneer Place community outreach. Katy Hanousek assisted patrons by frequently updating and monitoring the library's website and Facebook page. Kelly Anderson hosted two Ancestry sessions and two Adult Book Club discussions.  Curbside pick-up appointments decreased to 2 in October. The Poynette Chamber of Commerce Trick-or-Treating collaboration was a huge event with over 100 participants (not including their parents/guardians) who stopped at the library for treat bags and candy!
