LIBRARY DIRECTOR'S REPORT
10-Oct-17

Library News
Deb Haeffner of SCLS is currently working on furniture requests from the carryover committee to update changes and pricing. Bob Agnew has begun working on electrical updates and the shades have been ordered from All 4 Design. Yearbooks have been shipped out to the OCI project and have arrived safely at their destination. They are anticipating the project to be completed in 8-12 weeks. Kermit, from Public Works, fixed the women's bathroom sink and added a fire extinguisher upstairs. Eva and Katy have been working to weed the teen books for items that have not been checked out in a long time as well as books that are in poor condition. The Library would like to thank Country Farmacy for donating a pumpkin to the library for our October guessing contest. The Friends are currently looking for donations for the upcoming Silent Auction Fundraiser.

Programs
The fall programs for toddlers and school aged children have begun and we have had positive feedback from families. There are currently 22 high school students signed up to be book reviewers for this upcoming year. There were seven people at the book discussion at Lapacek's Orchard. It was a great discussion and participants seemed to enjoy having the book discussion at such a beautiful location.  Upcoming Events: Packer Program: 10/16 at noon at Pioneer Place and at 6pm at the Library; Craft Night - Painted Owls on Wood: 10/19 at 6pm; DIY Nail Art: 10/30 from 2 to 7pm; Trick or Treating - Candy and trinkets 10/31 all day; Movie at the Library: Emoji - 11-6 at 1:30pm.
