The Poynette Area Public Library is looking forward to serving you in the New Year. We are pleased to offer services, programs, and a place to gather.

We are touched by the generosity of this community as all of our prizes for the Winter Reading Program were donated by local businesses. We would like to thank the Poynette BP and Arlington BP, the Poynette Veterinary Service, Poynette Auto Body, Nostalgic Nutrition, First Weber Realtor Paula Schmelzer Woodward, The Shaklee Center, and Piggly Wiggly. The Winter Reading program for all ages concludes on January 30, 2017. Participants can turn in reading slips or bingo cards for books read or activities completed from December 24th through January 30th. Winners will be drawn and notified on the 31st.

Toddler Time, Elementary Book Club, and Middle School Activities have started back up again. Toddler Time is a drop-in program, please join us when you are able for stories, songs, letter and number recognition, and hands-on activities.  Registration is required for our Elementary Book Club and Middle School Activities. A schedule can be found on our website at poynettelibrary.com. Book Club participants read a new book with discussion every two weeks. Middle School Students have a variety of after school activities for this Spring Session that include learning a new skill, creating their own projects, using technology, playing games, and giving back to the community.

Ahoy Matey! Are you ready for our FREE 3rd Annual Winter Carnival? So are we! Join us at the Village Hall, upstairs, on Saturday, February 4th from 1 to 4 pm. We will have a pirate bouncy house, games, prizes, face painting, and temporary tattoos.

The next Adult Book Discussion will be on February 22nd at 2pm. We have copies of “The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend” by Katarina Bivald available at the library in book or audiobook format. We look forward to having an interesting discussion with you about this international bestseller.

Currently, we have state and federal tax forms available at the library.
