We are excited to announce our 2017 Summer Library Program: Build a Better World. This program is for everyone and we hope you will consider joining in on the summer fun! The library offers estimation jars, weekly prizes/passes/coupons, prize baskets, and top reader prizes. To help us “build a better community” a penny jar will be placed at our circulation desk to help fund a new electronic sign for the school district near Highway 51. Registration week is June 12th through the 17th at the Poynette Library. If you are one of the first 150 registrants, you will be included in a drawing for one of two FREE community prize packs.

Arlington, get ready! The Library is coming to you! Join Katy Hanousek and Jodi Bailey, our wonderful librarians, on Monday, June 19th to kick off this new program. Bring your library card to the Community Center located at 200 Commercial Street in Arlington on Mondays from 10 am to 12 pm from June 19th through August 28th. Books, DVDs, CDS, and magazines will be available for you to check out and prizes will be awarded to those who join the summer reading program.

Preschool Storytimes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am at the library from June 20th through July 27th. Both programs on Tuesday and Thursday will be identical. Children will have so much fun listening to books, singing songs, practicing letter sounds, counting and creating their own crafty project.

Career Crafters is a program geared towards elementary and middle school students that meets on Thursdays at 1:30 pm from June 22nd through July 20th. We are excited to have our experts share their stories and tools of their trades.
