The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is about a young girl named Liesel living in war-ridden Germany. It mainly revolves around her life as a foster child, her family’s struggles through the Holocaust, and how she survived. The Book Thief is an interesting book because it breaks a lot of stereotypes about WWII and actually educates you on the topic while still delivering a great storyline and it shows how hard life was for Jews and Germans alike. I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys historical fiction and a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
