Home school families with elementary and middle school students are invited to participate in our monthly programs.

Public Speaking Performance

Thursday, December 14 at 2:00pm

at Poynette Area Public Library

K-3 grade students should bring a "Show-n-Tell" favorite item; 4-8 grade students should prepare a book report, approximately 2-4 minutes in length. Speeches do not need to be memorized.

 

First Aid Course, presented by Poynette/Dekorra EMTs

Friday, January 5 at 1:00pm

at Poynette Area Public Library

Notes: Poynette/Dekorra EMTs will present the basics of first aid and participants will have the opportunity for hands-on practice.

 

Spheros (small spherical programmable robots)

Thursday, February 15 at 2:00pm

at Poynette Area Public Library

Notes: K-3 grade students will design and build a race track for the Spheros and 4-8 grade students will program and drive the Spheros through the race track. 

 

Mason Bee House Creation, presented by Judi Benade, Columbia County Master Gardener

Thursday, March 14 at 2:00pm

at Poynette Area Public Library

Notes: Judi Benade will give a presentation on mason bee pollinators and then you will make your very own mason bee house to put in your yard.
