Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

This book takes readers through WW2 from the point of view of an American Soldier. This book isn’t fully based on a true story but is based on some of what the author went through during WW2. Yossarian is like most people. He doesn’t want to fight in this war. He complains about everything and is always faking sick in order to get out of flying his plane. As the book goes on, we get to read about how each member of the squad handles situations, especially how Yossarian handles them. If you are looking for a funny, war-time story, I definitely recommend this book. It is a bit hard to read, but worth it in the end.
