The book The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Hazel faces depression and social problems due to her limited social interactions with people. Hazel was diagnosed with stage IV thyroid cancer at age 13, she was told she wouldn’t survive for much longer until a miracle happend where she was saved by her treatment. Hazel’s parents took her out of school and sent her straight to college but she wasn’t very happy meeting knew people until the opportunity to join support group came. Hazel was lenient about going but once she went her whole life changed because of one man, Augustus Waters. Read the book to find out how Hazel’s life changed forever.
