Jolene and Micheal have always faced everyday challenges with their 2 kids, stressful jobs and Jolene’s choice to stay in the Air Force. But their biggest challenge would come when Jolene unexpectedly gets deployed and has to leave her family at home to go fight in Iraq. Jolene and Micheal have their own struggles before her big leave, but her daughters are equally as devastated and scared about this new event. To help her through all this, Jolene relates to her life-long best friend and fellow pilot, Tami. This book goes through every struggle and sacrifice that both Jolene and her family will have to make. This would be a great book for anyone who has a family member that is currently serving or has served in any branch of the military.
