The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab is an adult novel that outlines the life of Adeline LaRue, born in 1691 in a small town in France. On the eve of her wedding she makes a forbidden deal, trading her soul for the chance to experience the world and life without worry. Little does she know that the evil spirit cursed her to be forgotten by everyone she meets. This all changes 300 years later when she meets a boy who remembers.

Personally, this is one of the best books I have ever read, and has definitely become one of my top 10 favorites. The plot is interesting and something I’ve never read before, and the ending will most likely leave you sobbing. I would definitely recommend this book to people high school age and above due to sexual themes throughout the book that may be offensive to readers. If you enjoy romance and fantasy books with some traces of history you should definitely give this amazing book a try!
