The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is a magical fantasy novel about a circus that is only open at night and arrives without warning. However, the breathtaking black and white tents and the awe-inspiring acts are nothing compared to the fierce competition hiding within the walls. A duel between two magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been training since childhood use the circus as a stage for their game, which unbeknown to the two illusionists can and will have only one winner.

The way the author describes this book is brilliant. The in depth details of the circus and the magic makes you feel like you’re right there with the characters. Despite this, I did find it a little difficult to understand at the beginning. This is because the story alternates between two stories and two time periods. Even though this is the case, after getting into the story it definitely gets easier. In all, I would absolutely recommend this book to individuals who enjoy fantastical worlds and interesting stories that come together in a satisfying ending.
