From the National book award-winning author Neal Shusterman comes an Intense and riveting novel, a detailed portrayal of a future world where natural death is no longer a thing, and a fascinating story of how two teenagers have been given the difficult task of taking lives.

Born irrelevant to humanity, Citra and Rowan live in a perfect and wonderful world where AI controls life and natural death doesn’t exist. They would’ve never known each other and yet, they've been chosen to meet as they have each been chosen to be apprentices to be a scythe, the worst job the world has to offer, a job that makes one dedicate their life to taking others.

Neal Shusterman gives a descriptive portrayal of a future world that is very good. Along with the well-crafted story with many twists and turns you get sucked into a different world full of new dynamics and rules. I loved the descriptiveness in this book and the way Neal Shusterman was able to tell this story and I recommend it to the young adults who are into dystopian/Utopian novels.
