Six of Crows is a young adult fantasy novel that takes place in the same literary universe as the Shadow and Bone series. This novel depicts the lives of 6 teenagers, Kaz, Inej, Nina, Jasper, Wylan, and Matthias, who are hired to break into the Ice Court, which is said to be impenetrable. They are hired by a wealthy merchant, Jan Van Eck, who told them he would pay a large sum of money if they can bring him back a prisoner from the impenetrable palace. It’s pretty much a suicide misson, but together they believe they have a chance, and they will do anything to get that money.

I absolutely loved this book. It is fast paced, action packed, and exciting while also carrying intense backstories, emotion, and drama. There are some dark themes and topics in the book, so if this bothers you I would air on the side of caution. Besides this I would recommend this book to anybody who asks. The plot is well laid out and you get to see the story from multiple perspectives - the story as a whole is brilliant!
