After the death of his wife, Tom and Jake Kennedy believe the town of Featherbank can give them a new, fresh start. Featherbank is a small and quiet little town with a dark past. Almost 20 years ago, Frank Carter, a serial killer, kidnapped and murdered five residents. Known for kidnapping kids by whispering through their window at night, Carter was nicknamed “This Whisper Man” until he was captured. Without knowing any of the town's past, Tom and Jake get settled in. Just as things are starting to look good, a young boy goes missing. The police fear that Carter had an accomplice. After many months, when the police are running out of ideas, Jake begins to act strangely. He hears whispers at his window.
